Consolidating Legacy into a Unified Brand Identity

Schades, the European leader of paper roll manufacturing and distribution, with over a century of history, aimed to consolidate five sister companies into a singular entity – Schades Group. This required a comprehensive brand overhaul and strategic marketing approach.

The Objectives.

  • Brand relaunch: unify disparate entities into a cohesive brand identity.
  • Website redesign: create a modern digital platform reflective of the new brand.
  • Marketing campaigns: implement paid and organic strategies to promote the new brand identity.

The Brief.

The primary objective was to merge multiple entities into one cohesive brand under the Schades Group umbrella to drive a stronger market presence and greater customer trust.

This involved unifying 5 companies, across multiple territories whilst remaining sympathetic to and representative of the history, scale, ethos and expertise of the group, and doing so by creating a single, defined proposition from which we could then market the business.

This necessitated a complete redesign of the website and overhaul of brand assets and content to reflect the unified vision and values.

The Research.

Fantastic Media conducted thorough market research and competitor analysis to inform the process of creating an overarching brand identity for the group.

We looked at how Schades could effectively leverage the combined expertise and innovation across of all of its companies to present a consolidated brand image while distinguishing itself in the competitive landscape.
Our INSIGHT process then guided the development of a communication strategy tailored to the Schades Group’s unique positioning in the market.

The Big Idea.

The rebranding strategy centered on emphasising Schades’ core offerings – Paper, Print, Passion, Performance. By highlighting their products and exceptional service, the aim was to solidify their position as pan-European industry leaders. This was to be achieved by creating consistency across the brand to enable Schades to communicate its value and proposition effectively.

The Activity

With a redesigned website and updated brand assets, we implemented a comprehensive marketing strategy. This included professional photography and videography, as well as targeted paid marketing campaigns. We worked on a full roll out of the new brand, consolidating their organic social media presence to one account per channel, updating their look and ensuring a cohesive look for the new Schades Group.
