Fantastic Media recently attended the 2012 Examiner Business Awards. As sponsors of the ‘Young Business Person of the Year’ Category, Fantastic’s Managing Director, Andy Hobson, also had the opportunity to present the award to the winner.

The ceremony, hosted by BBC Look North’s Harry Gration, kicked off with a fabulous speech from Gerald Ratner. Guests of the event included sponsors, award judges, past winners of the Business Person of the Year Award and leading figures from the local business community.

Fantastic has supported the awards for a number of years as it believes in recognising the hard work and dedication of business people within the region.

This year, the ‘Fantastic Media Young Business Person of the Year’ award was presented to Moin Valli of Valli Opticians. Moin, 34, became a qualified optometrist in 2000 and founded the Valli Group in 2005 when he was 27 by acquiring three practices in Lockwood, Honley and Meltham, adding two more in Cleckheaton and Mytholmroyd over the next few years.
