We are looking for a sharp and dedicated individual to join the Fantastic team as PR Account Executive and be part of our award-winning integrated marketing agency.

We could have the role for you! Whether you’re fresh out of uni or have been in your first PR role for a year and are looking to move to an agency – we want to hear from you!

As an Account Executive you will believe in the power of the media for brands, be tuned in to the news agenda and have experience of selling into a broad range of media and influencers.  You will understand the efficacy of platforms to amplify campaigns, be passionate about positive brands and chomping at the bit to get your creative juices flowing!

We’re looking for someone we can teach and develop, who will get stuck in and learn quickly, and who in return will become a respected, valued and integral member of the team from the get-go.

The role will involve working closely with our account managers and account directors, supporting them in providing PR, social media and content as part of our integrated marketing offering, and getting to know your clients inside out.

Areas of responsibility

  • Write for various channels, including press releases, features, case studies, social media, blogs and newsletters.
  • Join in with pitching for press coverage across all media channels (print, online, broadcast)
  • Monitor and compile all media coverage and manage ongoing reporting
  • Maintain functional and up-to-date media lists and influencer distribution databases
  • Manage and update client activity schedules and trackers and regular reporting on account activities and results delivered
  • Monitor and update features lists
  • Monitor the news agenda and update team on key developments and updates relevant to clients and their industries
  • Identify possible award opportunities
  • Attend client meetings as required.

The ideal candidate

  • A minimum of 18 months’ experience in a PR or marketing role
  • Exceptional copywriting skills and experience writing press releases, editorial and digital content
  • Good media relations knowledge and be a confident communicator
  • Experience in social media use for businesses
  • Well organised with the ability to manage your own time and work to tight deadlines
  • Creativity when planning and executing ideas
  • An interest in the industry and keeping up to date with the latest trends and developments in the media and social media
  • Proactive and driven with a dedicated work ethic – the ability to ‘make things happen’
  • Meticulous eye for detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Motivated to learn and desire to grow within the company.
